Fylde Local Plan to 2030

Act Now - Fylde Local Plan to 2030

OUR OBJECTION TO THE LAND ALLOCATION AT LAND TO THE WEST OF FLEETWOOD ROAD, WESHAM.
The Fylde Local Plan to 2030, Part 1, Preferred Options Document – identifies the land subject of the current planning application – 13/0655 – under Policy SL4, allocation E4, as Employment and Leisure.

Why is it important to object to the land allocation as well as the planning application if you support our campaign?
Everyone knows that objections can be made to a planning application – that is why local people are written to asking for their views, why Parish and Town Councils are consulted and why various agencies and departments are consulted – to seek their views on a particular application. However, the likelihood of a particular proposal being acceptable or not goes back earlier than just the submission of an application.

If land is allocated for a particular use, there is a good chance that an application that is in accordance with that allocation – will be approved.

The land allocation proposed at Policy SL4/allocation E4 IS broadly for the uses proposed in application 13/0655. If this allocation is carried on through as the Fylde Local Plan to 2030 progresses towards adoption, then there is less chance of the planning application being refused permission – as clearly the proposal would then be in accordance with the land allocation. That is why if you support our campaign and object to the planning application you MUST object to the land allocation under Policy SL4, allocation E4, for Employment and Leisure Use in the Fylde Local Plan to 2030, Part 1 Preferred Options Document, as well as the planning application itself.

Who do I object to?
Written objections to the allocation should be made to;
Julie Glaister, Head of Planning Policy
Fylde Borough Council, Planning Department
Public Offices
Clifton Drive
St Annes

Or, email julie.glaister@fylde.gov.uk

We are concerned that the proposed development of Mill Farm into a retail and industrial park will have a number of undesirable consequences and we are pleading for your help in stopping it.

What can you do to help?

Object to Fylde Local Plan to 2030

The land at Mill Farm is subject to the proposed Fylde Local Plan to 2030 being adopted.

Basically the Local Plan is a development strategy that sets out how the Council would like the Borough to look in 2030.

Currently Fylde's new draft Local Plan is being updated, if you write to the council objecting to the land allocation this may help stop this and other developments.
